Diana Dabinett

Visual artist Diana Dabinett is no stranger to the world of public commissions. her colourful silk banners and hangings are found in such highly travelled spots as the Newfoundland Freshwater Resource Centre and the Delta Hotel in St. John's

Most of Diana's creations are inspired by the environment in which she lives. She recreates her surroundings through the filter of personal experience and comes up with a unique view of the world. in her work Diana hopes to arouse and delight the senses.

Although better known for her works in fibre, Diana

was educated in oil painting, wood sculpture and printmaking
at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. her work is
represented in numerous public collections across Canada and in private collections worldwide.
