The heritage and past of Newfoundland and Labrador comes alive when we look at settlements of old and their remains, from churches and graveyards, to flakes and fishing shacks. The rich cultural heritage comes alive in eery and haunting reflections from the past.
From the desolate tip of Labrador, to the Avalon Penensula, the natural beauty of this land is breathtaking. Dense forests, raging oceans, and floating mountains of ice are the first impresion of many a visitor, however, after closer examination, one becomes entranced with the bright lakes and ponds of the interior, the quiet draw of the barrens, or even the floating fields of ice during the springtime thaw.
The photographs of Brian C. Bursey capture all of these images, and more, this book is a fine collection of some of his best images, mountains and streams, local fauna, or even a moose or two.
