Terri Leonard - Bio

TERRI LEONARD is a native of St. John's, Newfoundland, who is currently employed as a High School Guidance Counsellor in St.John's. She has studied Art through Memorial University Extension Service with Gerry Squires, Julia Pickard, James Maunder, Heather Ballantyne; at the Ed Roche Studio where she won the Roche Best Artist Award at the Roche Exhibition in May, 1993.; and with American Artists: James Godwin Scott on summer workshops held in Lunenberg, Nova Scotia and St. John's; workshops held in St. Pete's Beach, Florida with Mary Todd Beam. She has also studied art with various artists in St. Pete Beach, FL. such as Jack Barrett.

Terri works very hard at her art and as a result has won awards for her work in the Arts and Letters Competition for NF(1995) and has been accepted in juried shows in Florida and Newfoundland for her efforts.

Being proud of Newfoundland, Terri has concentrated on Newfoundland scenes, her paintings are displayed in Government, numerous corporate and private collections in Newfoundland and in private collections in Ontario and Florida. Local galleries in Newfoundland and Florida carry her work.

She is presently Vice President of the Art Association of Newfoundland and Labrador.
