Neighborhood Dance Works

Neighborhood Dance Works presents original choreography, local and 2-3 visiting artists annually in a festival format. We also support workshops in a range of dance-related activities aimed at developing its local dance community and promoting exchanges between Newfoundland dance artists and dance artists across Canada. NDW's 95/96 season presented guest artists Yvonne Coutts, Pipo Damiano, Susan elliott and Dulcinea Langfelder, George Stamos and Gwen Noah.

The 97 festival of New Dance will focus on presenting artists of Newfoundland origin. Programming selection is made by the curator who regularly attends festivals and individual performances throughout Canada. Video tape submissions and dossiers are accepted anytime, but serve primarily to create interest in an artists work, as no artist will be programmed sight unseen. Unsolicited materials will not be returned without a self-addressed prepaid envelope.
