Note To School Presenters

Terry Rielly's success as an entertainer is largely due to the fact that he obviously enjoys reaching his listeners. As the enclosed sample of commentary will show, Terry has a knack of communicating with students at various levels. Whether the topic of his song is related to issues such as peer pressure, self esteem, the environment, or global awareness and responsibility he has the ability to give a message in an entertaining, but also effective manner.

In the past few years Terry has visited hundreds of schools in Atlantic Canada, Ontario, Quebec, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and California. In 1994 he visited schools and refugee centers in the former Yugoslavia. He is often invited back for return performances.

Terry mainly performs for primary and elementary students. If requested, he can present (when time allows) two separate shows for schools that include K to 6, or he can do a presentation for all grades present. Even high schools are asking Terry for performances and he is sensitive to the type of material that would be suitable, whatever the age.

When possible Terry likes to confer with teachers in advance to find out what educational themes they would like included in his show. Terry is very aware of the fact that combining education and entertainment can be a very effective learning tool.

Terry considers the children he meets and performs for as new friends and says, "Friends have a responsibility to each other."
