SHORT STAY GUIDE

Don't miss Terra Nova National Park, where boreal landscapes meet sheltered fingers of the sea. Terra Nova's forested hills are indented by numerous sounds, or fjords. It is this combination of forest and marine environments that gives the park its unique character. Boreal forests, barrens and bogs are home to moose, lynx and black bear. Interpretive boat tours on Newman Sound offer opportunities to view bald eagles, whales and marine life. The sheltered waters generally allow for calm seas and smooth passage in an area rich with wildlife and scenic beauty. This popular national park is located close to the Trans Canada Highway.
