Hi, my name is Kevin Toope, the operator of Trinity Historical Walking Tours.  I was born in Ireland's Eye, a tiny resettled outport located 12 miles South of Trinity, where my ancestors from the south of England settled in the early 1800's.  I grew up in Trinity after moving there with my parents at the age of two years.  After high school I attended Memorial University of Newfoundland where I earned a B. Sc., B. Ed., and M. Ed. and I have been teaching  in the Newfoundland school system for the past 24 years.  Each summer when school closes my family and I return to Trinity and live in the family home. Over the years I have traveled extensively in Canada, the United States, and Europe, visiting many scenic places and experiencing many cultures.  However, to me,  Trinity, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland, with its spectacular scenery, rich history, and friendly people ranks as one of the most spectacular places on this planet.  I am proud to be from Trinity and I will show you Trinity from a personal and historic perspective which will enhance your visit to this magical place.     BACK
