Close to the Floor is a collection of Newfoundland dance music. "Play one close to the floor" is an expression used to ask the musicians to play their best dance tunes. This collection features among others, master fiddle players Rufas Guinchard and Emile Benoit as well as the more contemporary sounds of Figgy Duff and The Wonderful Grand Band.
