Emile Benoit is one of Newfoundland's master fiddle players. Having received the lifetime achievment award from the Newfoundland and Labrador Arts Council in 1992; Emile then went on the celebrate his "40th 39th birthday". Vive la Rose is the last project of Emile's before passing away; all his own compositions, it's a beautiful album celebrating Emile's extensive contribution to Newfoundland's musical history.
